Stock brakes are made for the street. They can stand up to the occasional track day for a novice, but as your abilities grow and you start entering corners faster and braking later, you'll reach their limitations. Upgraded pads can make a big difference, but sometimes more rotor surface area is the only answer.
OEM Brakes
These are typically the most generous in terms of wheel clearance. On most models, there are no clearance issues with stock steel (non carbon-ceramic) brakes. However, you should always contact us if you’re unsure and we’ll be happy to test your brake template for you. If your desired wheel & brake combination is incompatible, we’re happy to work with you to find an alternative.
Aftermarket Big Brake Kit
This includes using larger OEM brakes from a different car. There are many different types and sizes of aftermarket brakes available. We always take brake clearance into consideration when designing a wheel and barrel profile, and as a result, APEX wheels offer some of the most generous brake clearances available.
