Brake Clearance Information
In the engineering phase of wheel development we 3D scan factory brakes and review 2D aftermarket brake templates in order to optimize our barrel profiles and spoke curvatures. As a result, our wheels offer massive brake clearance so you can run the smallest possible wheel diameter.
All 17" & 18" APEX BRZ wheels were designed to clear the factory Performance Package Brembo Brakes from the first generation models, which can be adapted to this chassis.

Whether you enjoy spirited street driving or you are a weekend track warrior chasing lap times, these wheel & tire configurations are ideal for enthusiasts looking for a more dramatic improvement in performance and they are typically paired with performance oriented Summer tires or track oriented R-compounds.
17” wheels keep weight and tire costs to a minimum, allow for improved ride quality, and will still clear factory Performance Package Brembo brakes with ease.

- These wheels require 5mm front spacers and extended wheel studs for strut clearance on OEM Gen 2 suspension. If additional negative camber has been dialed in at the knuckle, a larger spacer may be required.
- With aftermarket coilovers a 10mm-15mm front spacer and extended wheel studs are recommended to bring wheels flush to fender.
- Depending on tire size/model and how negative camber is achieved, shaving the inner lip on the rear quarter panel may be needed
